I have many disagreements with our country’s policies on war, but one thing you will never find in me is a trace of animosity toward the men and women who serve. My father served in Korea and told me stories of what it was like to see a sunset and be genuinely grateful to still be alive. My wife’s family has several veterans in the mix, and I know many young people who are signing up to be a part of that great tradition.
To you that have served or are doing so now, I hope our country gains the courage and wisdom to send you only to honorable causes and with the backing required to achieve complete victory. Your life is precious and your sacrifices great. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
